Salt Can Trigger Inflammation in Multiple Sclerosis

Visit and Explore : Brain Disorders Conferences A new study reports salt could be a possible trigger for inflammation in multiple sclerosis. Researchers report cells in a high salt environment show activation of the beta catenin/Wnt signaling pathway, a pathway previously implicated in disrupting regulatory T cells and triggering inflammation. "The risk of developing MS is thought to increase by interaction between relatively common genetic variants and environmental factors. In addition to salt, vitamin D deficiency, smoking, and obesity have been linked to development of MS", researchers say. #BrainDisordersConferences #NeurologyConferences #NeurologyCongress #NeurologistsMeeting #NeuroscienceConferences #BraindamageConferences #BipolardisorderConferences #HuntingtonsdiseaseConferences #AddictionConferences #MeningitisConferences #NeoplasmConferences #AnxietyConferences #NeurologicaldisordersConferences #Dementiacareconferences #Behavioralgene

New therapeutic target of intractable epilepsy identified in pediatric tumors

To globalize your research join: Brain Disorders Conferences   Neuroscience Conferences Pediatric brain tumors are characterized by frequent complications due to intractable epilepsy compared to adult brain tumors . However, the genetic cause of refractory epilepsy in pediatric brain tumors has not been elucidated yet, and it is difficult to treat patients because the tumors do not respond to existing antiepileptic drugs and debilitate children's development. The research has been conducted by ateam led by Professor Jeong Ho Le. A Korean research team led by Professor Jeong Ho Lee of the Graduate School of Medical Science and Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology ( KAIST ) has recently identified a neuronal BRAF somatic mutation that causes intrinsic epileptogenicity in pediatric brain tumors. Their research results were published online in Nature Medicine.  DOI: 10.1038/s41591-018-0172-x #BrainDisordersConferences #NeurologyConfe
